Partner and Director of Valuation Services

Present Position
Ken is the partner in charge of the firm's management consulting services division, including: business/medical practice analysis and valuations, litigation assistance services, economic damage determination studies, investigatory accounting, strategic and tax planning for business and medical practices, mergers and acquisitions.
Professional Qualifications
Ken has been engaged in business and professional/medical practice appraisal and analysis since 1985. He has conducted valuation studies of entire businesses and partial business interests. He has appraised companies in a broad range of industries for purposes of marital dissolution, employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) implementation, purchase/sale, buy-sell and other stockholder agreements, estate/gift/income tax, stockholder dissension, damage determination, etc. He has qualified as an expert witness in many courts on business valuation and analysis, economic damages, tax, and divorce related issues. In addition, Ken has successfully mediated numerous litigated financial matters, both in the area of business appraisal and marital dissolution. Furthermore, Ken has been involved in many actual transactions regarding the merger, acquisition, or sale of closely held businesses and medical practices.
Academic and Professional Credentials
Ken holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with honors from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.
Ken has attained the following professional credentials:
- Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the states of Connecticut and New York.
- Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
- Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) of the American Society of Appraisers - Business Valuation Discipline.
- Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) of The Institute of Business Appraisers, Inc.
- Completed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) course and successfully passed the corresponding examination.
- Author and instructor in business valuation and various other topics of accounting, taxation, and finance for the State Bar of Connecticut, Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, and other organizations.
- Instructed for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Certificate of Educational Achievement (CEA) program in business valuation.
- Technically reviewed publications in the areas of divorce finance and taxation for the American Bar Association.
- Successfully completed numerous seminars and courses on the topics of business valuation and forensic accounting.
